Cleaned!

This is where the Corolla sat sense mid November
So I spent about an hour today after I brought the car home cleaning the interior then went and did a little basic wash at the self wash place down the road. After that I got the tires filled cause they looked a little low after sitting for a few months. Here are some before and after pics. The before pics were actually taken after I got the top layer of mold off before I drove it home haha.
Cleansing Journey
I am going to pick up the to be turquoise turtle tomorrow from the spot I stored it at for the winter. I am bringing it home to clean the inside so when I take it to VIP Performance it won't be all moldy. I'm sure they will appreciate that. I will try to get some pics of the interior prior to washing it so you can tell the difference between a car that doesn't seal good and sits and a car that doesn't seal good and is a driver haha.

Carbon Fiber hatch
I ordered a Seibon Carbon Fiber Hatch today for $631 free shipping. It should be here in a couple weeks maybe a little less. I'm going to have a glass guy swap the glass from my stock hatch to the carbon fiber hatch for now, and eventually I will get lexan glass for it. So as soon as I get the hatch the car is ready for paint along with flaring the fenders.
After paint and body work and what not the Corolla is going into VIP for a coilover install and then its the waiting game again I would imagine. I am going to talk to Panda Garage in the next couple days to figure out where my engine stands. no pun intended.

Dyno Results
This is my first (and only at this point) set of Dyno results
77.9 hp at 4950 rpm LAME
99.2 ft-lbs torque at 3950 rpm LAME
We are guessing that my timing is way off which is the only thing that can explain how stupid my Torque curve is. I did have a tensioner problem that may have caused my cam(s) to skip a tooth and they were saying my dizzy looks way off.. also possible. But this is what I have to start with and this will be much much better after winter time.

First Post

Here is my "story" I guess. I got into drifting only about 3 years ago or so but I didn't have a license or know much about it at all. I'm not one of those guys that watched Initial D and was hooked. Actually I watched Formula D on G4TV when it was on that channel and that is what got me into drifting. I have been into cars my whole life mostly from my Dad and me going to car shows.
When I was only twelve my Mom passed away from cancer and I immediately became best friends with my Dad. We did everything together. We hung out more and although at that time I wasn't as into cars as I am now I think thats what really started to make them my main thing.
My Dad taught me to play drums when I was five years old and about a year before my mothers passing a few friends and I started a band. This was my main focus until about the middle of my sophomore year in High School and I decided to go to the Skills Center for the Automotive Technology Program. This made my love for cars resurface again and become my main focus. I am not in any of the bands I was in anymore and have complete focus on cars, drifting, and being competitive.
My first car was a 1991 Toyota Corolla sedan, and it was an automatic. This car, however slow it was, was amazingly reliable, and is what made the Corolla the car I would always want to have. I then searched to find a Corolla that would better suite higher performance driving, and of course the car that came up was the AE86. Ever sense I learned the very little I did that first time about the AE86 I was in love with them and in love with Toyota in general.
On February 15th, 2009 my Dad passed away which left me with no parents at the age of seventeen. I moved in with my brother and finished High School (barely). The money I got from my Dad passing is what is funding my need to be a competitive drifter. I think that if the situation was different and I got the money in a different way this would be what my Dad wanted me to do with the money.
Anyways thats my story about how I got into drifting and what has brought me to this build
So this is going to be the more available build log of what I am calling the Turquoise Turtle.
